Pros

Benefits are okay, - ClassPass is a good addition to their benefits. Most individuals at the company care about their work and their peers and are hard-working. The customer success side is an elite team, though they remain overworked.

Cons

Where to begin. This company is simply a complete mess and mismanaged from the top. If applying for a position here, I highly suggest you read through ALL of the reviews on Glassdoor. It is immediately apparent which reviews are fake as the CEO asks the HR leadership (the HR department in general is incredibly incompetent, and doesn't even answer messages from employees) to consistently fake reviews, so the Glassdoor rating for the company is grossly inflated. The CS, Sales, and Engineering teams are completely overworked and have no morale. Employees are expected to dedicate their entire lives to the company and work long, exhausting days with little to zero recognition for their work. The core of the company is filled with talented and intelligent people, but leadership is so incompetent that the turnover rate is incredibly high as a result (both at entry and higher levels) and this is never addressed. During my time I witnessed 20-25 people quit or get fired only on the GTM side, and most of the dismissals were done completely reactively without much thought - as if the CEO woke up one morning and decided to make a complete change on a whim. Specifically within Sales, the tech stach is ancient, SDRs are overworked and expected to make a ridiculous amount of dials/emails that is unheard of in other sales orgs, which would not be an issue except there is ZERO operations support (since there is no operations team within Northspyre), which means reps are left to source leads entirely on their own with a complete mess of an outdated CRM. Leadership identifies the Sales org as a point of weakness yet does nothing to listen to or actively try to fix the problems - they decide what they think is wrong and micromanage the team, and instead of motivating or incentivizing employees, they reduce base (yes, base) pay and force people onto PIPs which leads to (who would've guessed) essentially the entire team quitting or getting fired. The culture is laughable - and it is almost humorous watching new hires come in and get hit with the reality of the situation inside the company. There are running jokes internally about what a disaster Northspyre is and how clueless leadership remains - and a significant portion of the company is actively looking for ways out. Leaders that threaten to fire employees for taking parental leave, consistently lie and mislead those under them, stress visibility and but continually fail to address core issues that drag on for months --- an org like this is doomed to fail, and it will. Empty promises are made constantly, changes are consistently lateral with no meaningful improvement, and communication is atrocious. The single positive of working for a start up like Northspyre is it makes you incredibly thankful when you move to an actual, normal role where there is a work-life balance and a leadership that actually has empathy for its employees. The product itself is fine, but it is operating in a very volatile market with heavy pressure from investors that causes this trickle down effect, and leadership simply does not have what it takes to navigate this environment while retaining employees, nor will they take accountability for their own poor performance. If you are thinking of applying here, just save yourself the trouble, this group operates more as a cult than a start up and it's simply not worth the stress.

Pros

- Great product with a ton of runway, and strong growth each year I've been here. - Solid work-life balance once you get up and running; once confidence is earned, it's a warm, trusting work environment with great benefits.

Cons

- Building the plane while we're flying it 100% of the time - Decision bottlenecks with a flat leadership team - Fire drills part of daily life (start-up)

Pros

- Leadership genuinely listens - both my manager and CEO have been receptive to feedback. - Strong mentorship from my direct manager, who carves out dedicated time to support my growth and check in on my workload - Hard work gets recognized - I received an unprompted raise due to work-ethic & performance recognition. - The role strikes a great balance between leveraging what I already know and being pushed to grow in new directions - The team is genuinely great to work with day to day - Exciting growth phase - moving into a dedicated office space has added a real sense of momentum and establishment

Cons

- The recruiting and onboarding process can be inconsistent and occasionally misleading - multiple new hires (including myself) have come in with incorrect expectations around office days and hours. - Be sure to clarify in-office expectations explicitly during the offer stage, as what's communicated in interviews doesn't always match the reality on the ground.
