Pros
Honestly, there aren't a lot of pros anymore. When I first started over twenty years ago, it was great, but slowly it has become a horrible place to work.
Cons
Where do I start? The benefits getting more expensive? The shift differential getting cut? The call pay getting reduced to "regular pay"? The more experienced employee getting looked over for the new employee just because they have a higher degree? The management not caring or even listening to employees? Feeling like the harder you work, the less the person next to you works? Company management not having any kind of "feel" for patient care? The corporate management cares nothing about anything other than the bottom line. The longer you have worked there, the worse you are treated. I could go on and on. If you are deciding between a career at Norton Healthcare or another corporation, take the other one. You will regret it if you choose Norton Healthcare.
