Pros

The therapists, techs, volunteers Patients The work is super easy

Cons

Pay could be better and raises definitely need improvement (30 cents is ridiculous)! Center managers pressured to fill the seat when there’s an opening which often results in incompetent employees who can barely type. Seriously! And they almost never fire people because it’s such a process. Billing practices are terrible. Patients with large balances or credits and it can take two years to get a refund. They submit things way past timely filing rules. They changes rules and practices without telling you then get mad because you haven’t been doing it correctly. Focused too much on money, pressuring us to make sure schedules are full. The therapists work 4 ten hour days, double and sometimes triple booking patients every hour. Burnout happens fast. Advancement is slow and tops out quickly. No education opportunities unless you’re a clinician. Overall, it’s a good job for an admin position but can be stressful.

Pros

They are flexible with scheduling as well as a great company when starting out, they very much help you as best they can until you can get the hang of things.

Cons

The pay can be a little low or sometimes there weren't a lot of hours, but pay in PT isn't great in outpatient overall anyways.

Pros

Great entry level job to gain experiences in administrative roles as you take on many roles at once.

Cons

Pay is not great and the only way you can get a raise is if they create a new position for you giving you more responsibilities. Felt a lot of pressure with numbers and meeting quota causing you to double book providers that caused tension. Some providers refused to give respect and call Patient Service Specialist as their position and referred to them as the front desk. Only position I had providers make me feel less than. I did not feel appreciated. When I went to management asking for employees not to use the "R" word and to refrain from talking negatively about those in the LGTBQ+ community. Very Christian based and you will be shamed if your lifestyle is different.
