The therapists I work with are nice and the patient's are amusing.
Cons
Once you walk through the door on Day 1 you have peaked. There is absolutely no room for advancement in this company. It is revenue-driven and numbers and quota's are more important than patient care. Very low pay for the job responsibilities that are expected. Only therapists and salaried employees receive paid holidays. PSS positions must use their own PTO, THEN they are expected to work extra hours on a holiday week to make up for the holiday the office was closed. Management promises you full-time training and support whenever needed but its is very difficult to get one straight answer when 10 plus people get involved. No positive feedback from management. The role of a PSS is vastly undervalued for the responsibilities involved. Do not expect a raise and, if there is one, it will be 1% or less which adds up to pennies for a PSS position. Long 10+ work days. Health benefits have dwindled since starting with this company yet premiums average 10% increase per year. Please, PLEASE look elsewhere for medical secretary employment.
