Pros
The people are incredible. Some of the smartest, hardest-working wonderful individuals I've ever met. I am still very close with a lot of them and will be for a long time. The pay is also good for the sales teams and those that hit their number. Good private health cover too.
Cons
A couple of points: I got shingles through stress. One of the reasons the team are all so close is because they are united by the common enemy which, in this case, is the employer. ON24 taught me to seek forgiveness rather than permission. The decisions that are made by head office are mind-blowingly bad. Rather than spend some of the hundreds of millions of $ of cash that's in the bank to improve processes and help their staff, they choose redundancies. The value of the company is heavily based on the cash reserves. When I got the call telling me I was being made redundant, it felt like the bit in LOTR when Frodo destroys the ring and he's released from it's effects. I lost 11kg since I left and my hair grew back.
