Pros
I struggle to find pros currently other than a paycheck.
Cons
Over the last several days/weeks I've watched the propaganda war play out in this public forum. The negative reviews are from non-interactive people (aka "old guard"). The positive reviews are from interactive people. I'm certain I know who wrote most of them. The fact of the matter is you are seeing the us vs. them confirmed and played out right here. Is this where you want to work? If you didn't work at Interactive you're not "in". It's not old guard vs. "new". It's Interactive 2.0 club that isn't accepting new members no matter where you come from, how smart you are, how long (or not) you've been at KAR, how much you know about technology, etc. It simply doesn't matter you're not in. The company indeed is transitioning. It needs to, it's long needed to. Innovation and disruption will be an absolute must for KAR to continue to be competitive. I have zero doubts about KAR's ability to succeed through the next era with one exception - the current destruction of the culture that is playing out very publicly. If you think this back and forth online is bad you should see what it's like in the office. A recent review says leadership is the best in the region. OK - then why is it when a former Interactive employee is interviewing the entire committee is made up of former Interactive? No inclusion from the "old-guard" as you say? The "old-guard" isn't resistant to change they simply aren't included or informed. Why is it that when "new" leadership took over they immediately began meeting with existing partners/vendors and specifically asked them not to tell any of the existing staff they were meeting with them while asking for documentation on our environment? Was that to give everyone (old-guard as you call us) an opportunity to be helpful and build trust? You think that wasn't fed back to us? Why is it that "new" senior leadership stays behind closed doors in offices all day? Do you think that builds trust or confidence with the "old-guard"? No! It makes us wonder what you're in there plotting. Why is it that "new" senior leadership never walks the floor and just talks to people? The only time you see them is walking an interviewing or newly hired former Interactive employee around. I've personally walked by the CIO multiple times in the hall and said "hello" only to have him act like I was a ghost and not acknowledge me. The level of misplaced arrogance is sickening. The culture is not well but they don't seem to care. They're doubling down as this is part of "transition". You have so many good people that are willing and want to be part of it, but you refuse to include them. For whatever reason you don't think we're good enough. I hope you have enough Interactive people to run the company...
