Pros
Great training program if you get a supervisor that helps you learn. Opportunity to receive bonuses for safety. Its a interesting job. It was nice to have a 2-3 week rotation.
Cons
The Good 'Ol Boy System is alive and well in Oceaneering. If your not prior Navy or from Louisiana your considered a outcast. this also causes problems when the good ol boys at the yard send broken or wrong equipment to the guys out on the rigs. And you needed the equipment yesterday. and the client is down your neck. Their Strong Safety culture falls short as soon as oil prices fall short or on a strict time constraint. Your job isn't guaranteed if oil prices fall. If your part of the good ol boy crew you'll be last to laid off. low pay considering what other rov companies pay out there. But they are the biggest and hire the most.
