If you are looking for a job where daily unnecessary, rambling meetings are the norm for issues that could be resolved by a simple email, then this is the place for you! Decent benefits but hardly worth the headache.
Cons
Manager was either ignorant or dismissive of even the most basic laws dictating patient confidentiality and transmission of patient information (HIPAA). Manager was absolutely clueless when it came to utilizing current software and Excel products to collate/disseminate data, which would have made the team more efficient and even streamlined. Manager was intimidated when staff had a skill or experience outside of their own skill set and as such, retaliated against the offending staff. A favorite saying in the office was, "this is how we've always done it" and that mindset was fostered rather than challenged. Management had no interest whatsoever in becoming better, fostering positive relationships, fixing existing problems or educating staff beyond proper work uniform and attendance guidelines . To say it was a toxic work environment is an understatement. Good luck trying to make a positive, meaningful difference as an employee. Also, pay raises are directly tied to employee satisfaction thus if you are honest and rate your department's metrics appropriately, YOU are punished for YOUR dissatisfaction via an already laughable wage increase. This is one particularly cruel method by which management silences dissent.
