Incompetent and unprofessional leadership - Department Manager Office Ally Employee Review

Pros

To my understanding, Office Ally was bought out and is under new management. I cannot speak to what the culture is like now, but when I worked there, it was not a positive experience. The CEO/owner was heavily involved in every mundane function of the company, and despite his lack of understanding of things, he was prone to fits of rage and berating his professionals. I guess you could say the pizza every Friday was nice. There used to be handsome bonuses at end of year, but due to poor financial investments, they stopped giving them out.

Cons

- Incompetent leadership: you report issues and follow the chain of command, yet none of it gets communicated and the finger will point back at you despite your due diligence. - Unprofessional leadership: several managers have a habit of spreading rumors and gossiping about anything and everything. They don’t want to see their employees outshine them so they do not pass along the positive feedback to upper management. - Low compensation: I worked at Office Ally for 8 years and was a department manager. I only made 44k/year; after leaving this company, I learned how severely underpaid and overworked I was for someone of my title.

Pros

The company is growing rapidly and even though it's a larger company it still has the start up mentality, which is really exciting. Leadership is great, very transparent.

Cons

The company is still working out some of their processes, which is expected, but might not be for individuals who prefer more structure. Some of the benefits are not ideal, but I see that they're working on them.
