Pros
- Straight forward, fellow employees were usually nice. - We didn't get too many annoying customers outside of the print section. - Managers would recognize when you did well, and I have no real complaints about them as people. - During down time when it was slow, employees and or managers would sometimes have fun talking over the walkie talkie, making jokes and such. Made the time go by faster till we got customers.
Cons
- No set schedule, but rather you get a weekly schedule of half shifts and full shifts. Makes it hard to set up plans for coming weeks and can end up with barely any hours, working a closing shift and then an opening shift the next day, etc. - Store activity fluctuated, one moment you're watching the clock tick, the next you've got a line of 5 people. - As a sales associate you are required to be flexible, able to work both the floor and the registers, willing to clean bathrooms, work any hours, and when responsibilities shift, you have to be ready to take them on.
