Pros

PTO- You'll be hard pressed to find a company with as good pto. Hourly pay- 40 hours, then overtime. Great entry level management experience. Most Sm's are very good. Many great coworkers, and mostly great customers.

Cons

It's a shame this company struggles. The culture is there. Very solid, ethical way of doing things. There are a lot of tools in place to help front line retail managers. However, The money problems in this company shows. The company is sitting on a pile of cash. Which is great. But, that's about all they have. They're not really making a lot of money. Which means a few things- Closing lots of stores. The stores that are still open, are very dated and need repair. Increasingly higher metrics to achieve. (Which you can't possibly meet) And even more metrics to be measured by. Increasingly desperate services gimmicks. Doing business across several fragmented platforms, which cause delays in delivery, wrong print orders, incorrectly priced products, etc. As far as daily ops activities, Your sm can make or break your daily life there. Most are absolutely great managers. Ops is a very detailed job. Lots of legwork. There's lots of responsibility, and many ways to mess up.

Pros

There are no pros to working for this company.

Cons

Low pay, grueling hours, unsafe and toxic work environment. The company does not offer opportunities for its sore employees to advance to the corporate sector; especially if you have a college degree. As a store employee neither you, your expertise and skill set, nor your ideas on how to improve workflow and company culture matter.
