Pros

The associates and SOME managers are are great. That's it for pros.

Cons

The company on the other had is one of the absolute worse companies I have ever worked for in my entire professional life. The absolute pits when it comes to giving a crap about their associates. I guess every company has a bit of that but this is the worst I've experienced. There is absolutely nothing when it comes to recognition. There are no meetings to let employees know where the company's going or what their plans are. The corporate goons visit and barely interact with associates. We are all numbers to them, nothing else. In fact there is nothing attractive about this job. Little hours, low pay, no recognition (please don't tell me about services, that's commission), high expectations, unattainable goals and a lot of micromanagement. First of all don't let their full time and part time positions fool you. As a full time employee you will be working anywhere between 30-35 hours and part time 4-10. At no time will you EVER and I mean EVER get overtime and you have to be liked by management to get 40 (full-time) and 20 (part-time) hours per week. Coupled with the minimum wage they pay, lets just say you're better off working from home because its a waste of time. Every week there are sales tags that need to be renewed which is time consuming and they expect it to be done. There were adhesive sales labels which saved some time but some bright mind at corporate thought it would be a good idea to replace them with actually bin labels. Which takes twice the time to put up and take down. There are a few reports that can be quite time consuming which they expect to be done by a certain time as well. These reports are never completed and are always laying around because you are always pulled away from that task. Freight days are a nightmare. There can be up to 14 pallets and sometimes 2 people are expected to complete freight within 4 hours. Some managers get upset when you are not done within the time frame and don't want you to stay to finish up because of their precious hours. In my 9 months with this company, they have cut hours 3 times. Imagine being a full-time employee and being at exactly 30 hours or below. This one guy had 0 hours for an entire week (which is complete nonsense). The training is complete crap. The only training you will ever do is about selling some of the dumbest and unreliable services. They expect every single associate to sell tech services. They came up with this DMS crap which I think is a complete waste of time because there are much better and more reliable services out there. They expect you to literally beg, plead or chase customers to convince them to buy into this nonsense. When they do sign up, and call the DMS tech team for assistance they send customers back to the store. The square trade is no different. Customers are sent to the store to get items exchanged when the square trade is supposed to be a money back guarantee. The managers are expected to be associates and assist with everything so there is little to no supervision because they are constantly part of the operation. They have cut hours so bad that there are literally 3 or 4 people in the store to at most including the manager. if there are more then it's only for a couple hours. It has gotten to the point where people quit after the first few weeks or months. The turn around rate is staggering which is not surprising. They expect 1000% from you and give nothing, absolutely nothing. Employees will not stay at that place for long because it is overall extremely terrible.

Pros

There are no pros to working for this company.

Cons

Low pay, grueling hours, unsafe and toxic work environment. The company does not offer opportunities for its sore employees to advance to the corporate sector; especially if you have a college degree. As a store employee neither you, your expertise and skill set, nor your ideas on how to improve workflow and company culture matter.
