Pros

Fairly simple work and mostly happy customers. There are not too many layers of employees i.e. stocker, cashier, or sales, and then 3 or 4 mid managers, so it is easy to manage. There is plenty of recognition if you do well in customer service indeces or add on sales, but it doesn't relate to any bonuses for management. In fact, bonuses are rare from what I have seen in So Cal and there aren't many adjustments for the current economy in your sales plans.

Cons

Long hours in CA for Store Managers as you're the only one on salary. There is a lot required of you as far as tasks and busy work, but the stock still stays low. The customers are not excited to be shopping in your store, they are just pleasant and mostly doing day to day shopping.

Pros

There are no pros to working for this company.

Cons

Low pay, grueling hours, unsafe and toxic work environment. The company does not offer opportunities for its sore employees to advance to the corporate sector; especially if you have a college degree. As a store employee neither you, your expertise and skill set, nor your ideas on how to improve workflow and company culture matter.
