Pros
Strong sense of camaraderie among the coworkers, all of whom were talented graduate-level students enrolled at ODU. Rewarding work that had a positive impact on students. The director of the Writing Center was outstanding in her support for the tutors.
Cons
Not enough high-level support from the English Department, which is sadly common for university writing centers. We were always overbooked for appointments.
