Pros

Decent salary and lots of internal promotions. The culture as a whole is empathetic and caters to individual needs.

Cons

Imagine if a high school drama class was turned into an experiential agency... that would be OBE. This environment forces diplomacy with a "yes and" culture, either get on board and shower your co-workers with praise or prepare to be pushed out. On the surface, most employees put on a smile and talk about how wonderful of a place. Below the surface, there is immense tension and frustration between departments and individuals. OBE systematically attempted to destroy my confidence, as a seasoned professional in the industry. Don't get me wrong, there are some wonderful people at OBE. However, many are stressed and over worked, so it's hard to connect. Rather than approach you directly to resolve issues, co-workers go behind your back to your manager and even the CEO. That behavior does not build trust or foster healthy working relationships. It pains me to write this review. Nobody wants this kind of experience. A warning would have saved me tremendous discomfort and hardship before attempting to embrace the "OBE way." A word of advice, stay freelance and stay clear of the drama. OBE treats freelancers with tons of respect. When you move in-house the curtain is lifted and the pettiness / hypocrisy begins. This place almost ruined my passion for the industry.

Pros

Really incredibly people, benefits, salary, clients, team/company bonding trips, and projects. Theres a lot of fabulous people all over the company and you are able tap into each persons strengths/interests very easily because of this. Some of my favorite people in Los Angeles. Also being able to work with some of the biggest brands in the world was quite cool, shoutout to the Nike team, y'all rocked!

Cons

Like any creative role in the advertising/creative/marketing world your commitment to a project can become extensive and all consuming. However, OBE does a good job recognizing this, but you need to be able to advocate for yourself as well!
