They are entirely too dependent on one agency (FEMA) for work, which seriously jeopardizes the company's long-term viability in the present political climate. As a result, they've hired a small army of business development people, some of whom have abrasive and unpleasant personalities that don't mesh with the existing corporate culture at all and who treat existing employees like they're idiots because they haven't always done things their way. The amount of condescenion that's now par for the course is astounding. It's turning into a culture with a fundamental lack of respect for many long-term people, and it's going to cost the company in the long run. The owners seem oblivious to what these changes are doing. Fundamentally, there's a whole body of work on how to manage change in an organization that seems to be ignored in favor of a "let's just blow things up indiscriminately and see where the chips fall" mentality that is at odds with the OneGlobe that I've enjoyed.
