Pros

OpenText offers the opportunity to work on large-scale enterprise technologies with talented colleagues across the globe. There are many smart, supportive people, and the company continues to invest in AI, cloud, cybersecurity, and information management. Compensation and benefits are competitive, work-life balance is generally good depending on the team, and there is flexibility with remote work in many roles. If you're proactive and willing to take ownership, there are opportunities to broaden your experience and work on strategic initiatives.

Cons

Frequent organizational restructures and layoffs can create uncertainty and impact morale. While these changes are often driven by business priorities, they can make employees feel less secure about the future.

Pros

While they claim to be "pro-employee" they are very much pro-Canadian employee. As long as you are a Canadian, your job should be safe. And US based role is in jeopardy.

Cons

Laying off all Americans. I do not see relevant data on location based statistics for the last 4 rounds of layoffs. The bulk of the "trimming" has been based in US. This is cost savings. Additionally, they post US based jobs for 24 hours then pull those and post H1B notifications that they could not find equivalent US resources and need to outsource for cheaper money.
