Pros

Work life balance is good depending on your team and management mentality. HR are running yearly career awareness weeks to reduce what’s apparent to be a high turnover. Package is standard with market but not in league with top players such as Oracle and Microsoft and not even in line with similar size orgs like Adobe, Symantec or BMC

Cons

Where to start. Well let’s talk career development. It’s seems there is little career opportunity for you unless you are directly generating revenue and making a lot of noise about it. Performance objectives and reviews are just a joke. Targets are fluid and by mid term your initial goals won’t be valid and even though won’t be updated. Feedbacks are not constructive as they lack evidence if they are even discussed. Employee pulse survey results are communicated 1 year after they come up!!!! Yearly merit increase and quarterly profit has nothing to do with your performance which isn’t fair for high performers as those with lower salaries will get a better increase than yours regardless of how both of you performed. Factor only for 40% of your bounce to be received regardless of your performance as well. LTE has even decided in their infinite wisdom to stop recognition program that awards nominated exceptional employees and replace it with emails to managers instead. The killer for me was the extreme gap hole between senior management and front line. There’s lack of direction and communication plus the quarterly mayhem obsession about results and figures most of which are results of senior management trial and error decision strategy and have nothing to do with individual contributions.

Pros

While they claim to be "pro-employee" they are very much pro-Canadian employee. As long as you are a Canadian, your job should be safe. And US based role is in jeopardy.

Cons

Laying off all Americans. I do not see relevant data on location based statistics for the last 4 rounds of layoffs. The bulk of the "trimming" has been based in US. This is cost savings. Additionally, they post US based jobs for 24 hours then pull those and post H1B notifications that they could not find equivalent US resources and need to outsource for cheaper money.
