Pros

Very hands on and empathetic leaders who is very supportive of development, growth, ED&I. Not afraid to take a stand. Lots of opportunity to make a difference as they realize they can learn from others. Fast paced, but at the same time there is a lot of flexibility and therefore ability to have great work/life balance.

Cons

very hands on leadership that still manage the business as if it has 4000 people. They have to be in the know and provide input on everything little thing. They claim its not micromanaging - but it is. They say it has nothing to do with lack of trust, but you have to wonder. Benefits stink. I had better vacation 25 years ago than I do now.

Pros

While they claim to be "pro-employee" they are very much pro-Canadian employee. As long as you are a Canadian, your job should be safe. And US based role is in jeopardy.

Cons

Laying off all Americans. I do not see relevant data on location based statistics for the last 4 rounds of layoffs. The bulk of the "trimming" has been based in US. This is cost savings. Additionally, they post US based jobs for 24 hours then pull those and post H1B notifications that they could not find equivalent US resources and need to outsource for cheaper money.
