Pros

don't have any to write down

Cons

Only question I asked my recruiter before joining was about layoffs and he mentioned that we don't do that as we acquired a big org just now and within few months I was laid off without any prior notice, that too in last quarter when hiring almost stops. I tried speaking to HR and without even checking if there are any relevant openings within org, she suggested to apply for rehiring, they don't care at all about the employees.

Thank you for your feedback. As the company grows through acquisition, there will unavoidably be some duplication in roles which may lead to team structure rebalancing to ensure that the appropriate level of skill is attributed to each area of the business. As and when these changes may happen, information is provided to employees as early as possible in line with legal requirements. We try as much as possible to support team members in finding opportunities in other areas of the business, should their areas be impacted by restructuring.

Pros

While they claim to be "pro-employee" they are very much pro-Canadian employee. As long as you are a Canadian, your job should be safe. And US based role is in jeopardy.

Cons

Laying off all Americans. I do not see relevant data on location based statistics for the last 4 rounds of layoffs. The bulk of the "trimming" has been based in US. This is cost savings. Additionally, they post US based jobs for 24 hours then pull those and post H1B notifications that they could not find equivalent US resources and need to outsource for cheaper money.
