Pros

Pockets of good engineers exist from acquisitions. Entertaining to watch upper management trying to sell alternative reality to staff Life work balance can exist if you take advantage of non-agile processes and bureaucracy.

Cons

Micromanagement, constant layoffs, no training budgets, no travel budgets, quota based annual reviews, subpar pay, unrealistic outsourcing goals, outdated uncompetitive products, butt kissing senior management. Business model is milking products, raising prices and squeezing employees to finance buying new companies. Non existent growth organically (only via acquisition)

Pros

While they claim to be "pro-employee" they are very much pro-Canadian employee. As long as you are a Canadian, your job should be safe. And US based role is in jeopardy.

Cons

Laying off all Americans. I do not see relevant data on location based statistics for the last 4 rounds of layoffs. The bulk of the "trimming" has been based in US. This is cost savings. Additionally, they post US based jobs for 24 hours then pull those and post H1B notifications that they could not find equivalent US resources and need to outsource for cheaper money.
