Pros
Honestly there aren't any real pros to working here beyond a paycheck that arrives on time
Cons
Execs and senior management create a culture of fear. They do not care about their employees, we are all just a number. They are constantly dropping pointless last-minute asks, so it's a constant cycle of stress as everyone scrambles to work on a random project that in most cases accomplishes nothing. They are constantly handing down "updated" templates and slide decks. Never mind doing actual strategy, this job is just filling out templates and slide decks. They currently have an obsession with AI, but are rushing into it rather than taking a measured approach that analyzes how AI can be leveraged in a strategic, productive way. If you want to feel good about your work, feel like you are appreciated for your contributions, and want to have work-life balance, do not work here. While interviewing, they will tell you that it's a great culture at OpenText - this is a lie. The execs and senior management have cultivated a toxic culture. And I know it's not just me noticing it, everyone I work with has too. Everyone is overworked, stressed, and feels fear of upper management. Run.
