This is a growing company with amazing work/life balance, a strong and quirky culture that's fun to be a part of, and great, accessible leadership that's always forward thinking. I've been in the work-force for 20 years, and at OpenWater for 3. Of all the companies I've worked for, from big to small, manufacturers to tech-industry, flexible to strict --- this has been the best by a long-shot. --- Work/Life Balance: the company supports telecommuting and a sizable portion of the staff chooses to telecommute full time. There are high and low seasons throughout the year, and during low seasons there's a lot of free time you're free to use as you please, as long as clients are happy and well taken care of. Culture: everybody is seen as an individual, and so while everybody gets training, the company also realizes everybody will find their own style, and that's encouraged and supported. At the same time, everybody is grouped into teams --- and each team has its own culture and humor and even history. Some are tight knit and handle work together, others are very individualistic and work apart. Leadership: the developers and management team work along-side the "boots-on-the-ground" staff on day-to-day activities, and they're very accessible, and transparent. Additionally, they really respect their staff. They value the insights, opinions, and experiences of their support and sales staff, and it's really common to have them consult with staff on changes. Work: there's always something new and different. I've been doing the same thing for 3 years --- handling clients. But there's always a new client, a new setup, a new problem, a new solution, a new feature or quirk. It's never gotten old, and it's always been fun.

There's not much turnover and most of the staff is happy with where they are and what they're doing --- and so there's no professional ladder to climb. If that's something you want, you need to note it'll be hard to find here
