Pros

New building, free lunches every now and then, used to do breakfasts on Fridays which was fun.

Cons

Terrible leadership starting at the very top. On any given day you can get completed degraded because the customer knows the owner. Many times it is out of our control since we get behind in production and then have to communicate long lead times. Shocking to see that the company has 3 stars on here, I am truly surprised as I have been here a while and many to most people are burned out or frustrated.

Negative ratings like this are hard to receive, but we're also grateful for them because they bring attention to the things we need to do better. And we will. Ore is very interested in hearing what our employees (current and former alike) have to say because it's our employees that make us who we are. That's why we frequently ask for feedback. We do this by: - our open door policy (the CEO welcomes any/all employees to talk with him directly whenever they need to be heard) - anonymous quarterly eNPS (Employee Net Promotor Score) score surveys in which we ask our employees if they'd recommend Ore as a place of employment to a friend or colleague, and why or why not? - anonymous quarterly Wellbeing Surveys that ask what Ore does well, and what we can do better - regular One-to-One Meetings between employees and their Lead/Supervisor/Manager to encourage candid and direct feedback - regular One-to-One Meetings between employees and members of the HR Team to ensure our employees feel supported and encouraged to speak up and tell us what they think. In the end, we're disappointed you decided to leave before we were able to help out by making Ore better. But we do appreciate your feedback and if the opportunity ever presents itself, we'd love to hear more ...even if it's hard feedback to hear.

Pros

Their product was of the highest quality. I really felt passionate about facilitating green spaces in cities with the Ore product line. From the edging, fire pits, and water features the craftsmanship really showed the passion of the design, sales and manufacturing team. Shane is a great CEO and leader, he truly is deeply committed to providing a top tier product nationwide, working with the premier landscape architects in the country.

Cons

During my time there were 3 sales managers which created a lot of change but leadership always encouraged and open door policy to escalate concerns and opportunities for improvement.

Pros

HR people are nice. But they are the only ones leaving good reviews here!

Cons

Everything else! This place is a revolving door. Almost everyone hates working there, but they do because they have few options. Don't waste your time. The culture is toxic and it comes from the top. The owner is pompous and arrogant. Seriously, there are much better places to work. Read the reviews here (Not the ones from HR, LOL!) and save yourself a big headache. And benefits are terrible!

We’re sorry to hear that your experience at Ore was not a positive one. We appreciate your positive comment about HR, but we recognize that a strong workplace depends on leadership, communication, accountability, and trust across the entire company. Ore is actively working to strengthen those areas and improve the overall employee experience. To that point, Ore takes concerns about culture, leadership, turnover, benefits, and employee experience seriously. While we can't speak to every detail in an anonymous review, we do use this feedback to better understand where employees may feel unsupported and where we need to improve. And then we get to work making those improvements. So thank you for sharing your feedback. We appreciate the time you spent with Ore and wish you the best moving forward.
