Pros

Ore has a great environment. Very friendly co-workers from the front-end all the way out through production. I work with fantastic coworkers that are willing to help out within their expertise. The HR team is a fantastic group and makes sure that you are heard from within the company. They also host quite a bit of events throughout the year that make work a little easier that day. Shane is a fantastic leader and does great providing his company with a great example of hard work. He's very friendly and more often than not open to chat if you have concerns. You do get to learn quite a bit and the level of entry is very low.

Cons

Being a small company, job expectations and responsibilities are completely blown out of proportion. You are expected to wear multiple hats at a "competitive rate" and "work life flexibility". Off hours and Time off for most of the front-end are not taken very seriously. Often times a multitude of both management and coworkers expect you to work on off / vacation hours. Upper management is very inexperienced and does not seem to play an "active role" in providing value to the company. There is often quite a bit of turnover in this area because they are high stress, high expectation roles.

Thanks for the positive acknowledgement and recognizing our great employees. We agree, our co-workers are friendly and great to work with. We're working on the management part, and continue to train them. We've also hired a few new experienced Executives who have brought a lot of expertise (in personnel management as well as process improvement) to the company. Your feedback regarding time off and vacation has been heard and we're going to work on this by educating our co-workers about alternate options for support when you're out of the office and off the clock. We'll work with managers too to ensure they have more resources available so as not to pull you back to work when you're on your own time. Thank you for letting us know what we do well and what we can do better. We sincerely appreciate the feedback and going to get to work on making necessary adjustments.

Pros

Their product was of the highest quality. I really felt passionate about facilitating green spaces in cities with the Ore product line. From the edging, fire pits, and water features the craftsmanship really showed the passion of the design, sales and manufacturing team. Shane is a great CEO and leader, he truly is deeply committed to providing a top tier product nationwide, working with the premier landscape architects in the country.

Cons

During my time there were 3 sales managers which created a lot of change but leadership always encouraged and open door policy to escalate concerns and opportunities for improvement.

Pros

HR people are nice. But they are the only ones leaving good reviews here!

Cons

Everything else! This place is a revolving door. Almost everyone hates working there, but they do because they have few options. Don't waste your time. The culture is toxic and it comes from the top. The owner is pompous and arrogant. Seriously, there are much better places to work. Read the reviews here (Not the ones from HR, LOL!) and save yourself a big headache. And benefits are terrible!

We appreciate your positive comment about HR, but we recognize that a strong workplace depends on leadership, communication, accountability, and trust across the entire company. Ore is actively working to strengthen those areas and improve the overall employee experience.
