Pros

the people working there are nice

Cons

A lack of work-life balance is so normalized that it is just a joke among employees. The director even told a story of how he woke up in the middle of the night worried he didn't complete work so he logged on. If you take PTO you need to do an insane amount of work leading up to it and are drowning in work when you get back to the point it is just not worth taking PTO. Most people will end up working during their PTO and management tries to do the right thing and say "stop working" but with the culture in place it is just impossible. Getting messages in the middle of the night or even the middle of the night on weekends are completely normal

The work/life balance and mental health of our staff is a high priority at OuterBox. Our expectation for production staff is to capture 6 billable hours per day, leaving 2 for administration activities or non-billable meetings. We encourage everyone to reach out to their Manager or Director for relief and/or guidace if they're struggling maintaining this expectation.

Pros

Some groups are very specialized and highly skilled There are some teams that care deeply about their clients and deliver really high performance Remote work Summer Fridays

Cons

The company has grown extremely fast but is not keeping standards up across the organization. It is clear that the quality of work and level of expertise varies significantly based on which team you are on. Some processes are built around certain offices or teams but don't consider the full organization. There is very limited engagement for culture events.
