Pros

Meet a lot of nice people that work there temporarily and a lot of the customers are now leaning towards the workers side of how things are going

Cons

I think they forgot what made the co-op great and now that is lost forever. The new CEO is turning it into a Whole Foods or maybe worse. Maybe she'll just sell it off. She came in about a year ago and asked the staff to complete a survey, it was overwhelmingly negative and she was taken back, nothing was changed. Now she wants another survey, sending out an email to all staff that has a PCC email account saying "last year I received nothing helpful from staff feedback. Try harder" Everyone at that worlds at the cooperate level with her follow her around like royalty. She brought in her friends from leadership at Whole Foods and other major grocery stores. She invited Amazon to take over our back rooms for prime customers. This brings in about an extra $300,000 a month and that has all gone to her moving the cooperate office from the udistrict, where it has been forever, to the busy Amazon/westlake district. She won't even pay for IT to go out to the stores anymore and all of our tech problems have to be handled over the phone. It feels weird to say that she is turning this business into some sort of...business. But that's all I can think of on how to describe it. Who do we admire any more and who do we follow? Is it that wrong to feel that you have enough? As the profits grow, the hours are cut, the union is saturated with unhelpful advice and sometimes won't even respond to you. It's hard to leave if you need the insurance like I do. But is the stress worth it? I'm running out of steam here...
