Pros

Love the people I work with. The culture in Los Angeles offices is great, I hear.

Cons

*** If you expect a bonus make sure the language is included in your offer letter. DO NOT EXPECT to receive a bonus based upon merit, hard work, & stellar performance review (it won't happen!) *** Benefits are sub-par compared to other real estate finance companies. Medical offered, but VERY expensive if you add spouse and/or children. Vacation: (everyone receives the same, there is NO negotiating) • FVP and below receive 10 vacation days per year, accrued at 3.33 hours • SVP and above receive 15 days per year, accrued at 5 hours Sick Time: (everyone receives the same, there is NO negotiating) 6 days per year, accrued at 2 hours per pay period of service. Recognized Holidays: • New Year’s Day (Jan 1) • Martin Luther King Jr. Day (3rd Monday in January) • Presidents’ Day (3rd Monday in February) • Memorial Day (last Monday in May) • Independence Day (July 4) • Labor Day (1st Monday in September) • Thanksgiving (4th Thursday in November) • Christmas (December 25) • One Alternative Holiday

Pros

Training was always provided and you were never rushed to learn. Snacks were given on a daily basis. You had a Penny Pantry in the building that offered free coffee/Soda and a variety of food selections at a resonable price.

Cons

Low paying position at $22.00 an hour to start with no increases. The department couldnt find other Loan Specialist for the longest time and then increased the position to $27.oo an hour in an effort to attract more people. Four of the employees that were already there for a few years in the department were allowed to work remotely on Thursdays and Fridays, every new Employee had to work on site. Bonus was paid a month and a week after the quarter, so March's bonus was given to you on May 7! Human Resources lied and was extremely unprofessional, when challenged they offered no response or made up false information. My recommendation after being rehired and resigned, is to run in the opposite direction, and dont look back.
