Pros
Great ideas and vision, wonderful location, and some exemplary teams and managers. The work is challenging and includes some growing pains, but provide a great feeling of pride in what you are doing if you are flexible and want a challenge. The variety of customers and their projects makes the work constantly challenging and opportunities for growth. With so much change still occurring to accommodate growth, there is ample opportunity to explore new skills and career paths within the company as long as you work hard and advocate for what you would like to do. The good managers are great at providing support for professional development.
Cons
Pay is decent for the small town where PFL is located, but is still low for the industry and even for the immediate area (Bozeman is 25 miles away and PFL is not really even keeping pace with there). While the company vision is conceptually good, sometimes there is inconsistent forward progress. I think most turnover is related to either pay, poor management (though some managers are AMAZING, some are not a great fit for their roles and I think too often we have lost great talent because we kept a poor performing manager instead) or frustration with lack of acknowledgment of and movement on improvements.
