Pros
Working within the sales team has some great earning potentials. You are constantly incentivised to make sure targets are not only met but exceeded. In my time here I have taken home some incredible prizes, such as £500 selfridges vouchers, PS4, iPad, Beats headphones, Bose speaker and much more. There are many other smaller incentives as paid lunches and meals at some of the finest restaurants within the Manchester. With the incentives out a side, the actual earning potential of money you can take home is high too. Top performers earning double and sometimes triple their basic salary. This overall would motivate anyone that wants to succeed in sales. The jobs is very social. With games rooms etc to socialise with peers and also the opportunity to play for the Work sports teams at a competitive standard. Another great part of PHMG , is their contribution to some amazing charities. With events taking place all year round it’s a great opportunity to help towards some great causes. Career progression is huge within PHMG, with many people going through Senior levels and to TL’s within their first year. Also opportunity to move roles and go into the field. With the company being a global leader there is the ability to work across different continents too.
Cons
The few downsides of working within the sales position are that you spend a lot of your own time to get the results needed. You will need to source your own leads, however in time this becomes natural and easier as your pipeline builds. I had to get to around the 3/4 months mark before I built my pipeline. It can be demanding in regards to the working hours, as you may need to stay late, however to conpensate for this there are incentives for this.
