Pros

Benefits are decent, pay is decent, co-workers are good people actually trying to help others, their funding to help consumers is above average. The people that I worked with were great and we did great work with our consumers. My immediate supervisor was great and our program director was a beautiful person.

Cons

Their core values state how much they care about consumers and will do anything to help them reach the highest quality of life possible. But in reality, when evaluation time comes for case managers, billing is the only thing that matters. How the clients that you are working with have progressed doesn't matter. They will tell you that the only thing that matters is that you bill 5 hrs per day and nothing short of that is accepted. They also don't care how you do it. Coworkers took work home and averaged 2 hrs of work at home per day, others stayed late at work (both without pay). Administration knew this and instead of fixing the problem they fired the person who brought the problem to light. Workers are burning out at a higher rate than normal. You are not encouraged to pad your hours but you are told to "do whatever it takes to meet your productivity". And lastly, no room for promoting unless you are willing to do a lot of "brown nosing", especially in their housing department.

Pros

Great learning experiences, opportunities to network and develop professionally, ample training opportunities, competitive benefits for industry, and good 401k matching.

Cons

Unrealistic productivity expectations, processes, and policies are constantly changing, frequent driving, and poor mileage reimbursement rates. Some programs are misleading about role responsibilities during the interview process.
