Benefits are fabulous. There are good managers willing to mentor.

Cons

You will be assigned to work at a shelter during hurricanes. But this is from the county admin, not the library.

Excellent benefits through the county and paid time off. There is plenty of creative freedom when doing library programming and currently there are generous and cool opportunities for professional growth and outreach.

Cons

Upper management can be slow to acknolwedge/act on issues and make any substantial changes. Many figures in supervisory positions across the library system display incompetency and lack leadership skills.
