Pros

This company is on the move and has proven to be making very intentional decisions to place it in a position of growth within it's industry over the next 3 years. Very down to earth people work here. The leadership is intelligent, humble and willing to learn new things and ask for team member insights. They are also hungry, which has really helped with growth these last 2 years. Recently we've invested a lot to scale for the exponential growth we've been seeing. Our customer base has been increasing steadily and our leadership has made the important investments internally to match that external growth. Has made recent acquisitions of competitors and complimentary solutions to make our products and services more appealing to customers. Team members are encouraged to be supportive and get along well with each other, but are also encouraged to share opposing opinions openly. When we've determined the right course of action, we move together in that direction as a whole. The Leadership strongly encourages employees be frugal and plan for the future. This is reflected in the fact that they offer a 10% contribution to employee 401k contributions, a very high contribution in comparison to other Tech. businesses.

Cons

On the surface, Pay isn't very competitive. However, this is negated with opportunities for significant growth in roles and promotions. Additionally, perks like regular Int'l and domestic travel are frequent here, due to our global customer base and industry trade shows. Not a publicly traded company, so stock options aren't available to buy at a discount for Team members.

Thank you for sharing your insights and experiences with Patch My PC. We're excited about our growth and the direction we're heading in, and it's encouraging to hear you recognize and appreciate the intentional decisions and efforts behind our progress. Our team's dedication, including your contribution, drives our success. Regarding the concerns about pay at a surface level, we recently conducted a third-party compensation review from February 2024 to June 2024. This review helped us make necessary adjustments where needed to ensure our team members are paid fairly internally and competitively in the market for the benchmark we are competing in. We strive to have competitive compensation with growth opportunities, perks, and a strong benefits package, like our 401k contribution, to ensure our team feels valued and supported. Your feedback on our leadership and company culture is greatly appreciated. We believe in the power of diverse opinions and moving forward together, which has been key to our growth and will continue to be as we move into the future. Thank you for being a vital part of our journey and for helping make Patch My PC not just a workplace, but a community where everyone can thrive. We're looking forward to continuing this journey together to improve lives and grow not just as a company but as a team. - Justin Chalfant

Pros

Leadership is genuinely engaged and invested in my growth. I’m constantly learning and evolving, which has been such a refreshing change of pace. My team is fantastic. Thoughtful, kind, and incredibly supportive. I’m really enjoying my time here so far. I stay busy, but I’ve been able to make a meaningful impact, and that’s been incredibly rewarding. The benefits are really strong and thoughtfully designed. A truly comprehensive Total Rewards package. The culture here is really unique and something I really appreciate! Very much looking forward to growing my career with this company.

Cons

We are growing quickly, which can sometimes mean shifting priorities and evolving processes. If you prefer highly structured environments with everything fully built out, this may feel fast paced at times. We are remote - so you have to make a conscious effort to connect, but PMPC also gives us real opportunities to connect in person (Annual All-Company Summit!)

Pros

I had recently retired from a large software company after 30+ years of service. I wasn't sure if I was done working but I knew that chapter in my life was done. The things that I had loved about my previous company were long gone. Customer obsession, showing empathy (especially to employees), and humility, to name a few core values, were no longer part of the company culture. Work was no longer fun. It had become just a job. I can honestly say that this was the only scenario and company for which I considered coming out of retirement and pursuing. The leadership team models & lives our core values day-to-day. This has created a culture where employees are empowered to do their best work. I definitely have a passion for the solutions that we build and the lives that we are able to change but how we do it has been the most refreshing to me. Work is fun again.

Cons

I'm not sure I have run across any to date. We're fully remote and flexibility is valued. Maybe a con is not joining PMPC sooner?

Thank you for taking the time to write this. Coming out of retirement after 30 plus years to join Patch My PC is a huge compliment, and I do not take that lightly. I really appreciate how you described what changed at your previous company. It is a good reminder of what can get lost when companies scale, and it is exactly what we are trying to avoid. Customer obsession, empathy, humility, and staying grounded are not posters on a wall for us. They have to show up in how we lead and how we work together every day. I’m also glad work feels fun again. That might sound small, but it is not. Life is too short for a place that drains you. Thank you for being here and for helping us keep our culture strong as we grow. Also, the “not joining sooner” line made me laugh. Justin Chalfant
