Pros

Genuine Personal Connection: You’re not just another employee here. Leadership takes the time to understand your individual goals and challenges, offering personalized support and mentorship—something rare in today’s corporate world. Culture: While many companies have set values and a mission, this is one of the few that truly lives and breathes by them. All leaders and employees understand that we are nothing without our values, peers, and customers. Personal Development: PMPC hires leaders who encourage the growth and happiness of their employees. Management understands that personal development leads to the overall growth and innovation of the company. There are many programs in place to assist and develop employees, provided they are willing to engage. Innovation & Growth: There is never a "no." Management and peers encourage employees to think outside the box and break away from silos. Communication: Upper Management is transparent in many business affairs with the company; consistently asking for feedback.

Cons

Ambiguity: With such a fast-paced growing company it leaves quite a few gaps in the day-to-day work. Onboarding was slightly rough, but this company allows employees to thrive over time.

Thanks for sharing your experience with Patch My PC. It’s great to hear that you feel genuinely connected here and that our values resonate with you. Building an environment where everyone feels understood and supported is a priority, so I’m glad that’s been your experience. I remember the tough points in your onboarding, and we didn’t handle that as well as we should have. While it’s not the norm, it’s still not acceptable, and we’ve made some changes as a result. Now that we’ve completed our compensation benchmarks, our next focus is creating a framework for career progression, growth, performance management, and being proactive in supporting our culture of feedback. This is a top priority for Marie’s team and the extended leadership team. Retention and career development are critical, and we’re working hard to strengthen these areas to better support the team and create clarity. This is a big lift, and it will take some time to build out fully. We’re committed to getting it right and aligning with our values, and we appreciate everyone’s patience and grace as we work through these improvements. Thanks again for being part of Patch My PC and contributing to our culture. - Justin Chalfant

Pros

Leadership is genuinely engaged and invested in my growth. I’m constantly learning and evolving, which has been such a refreshing change of pace. My team is fantastic. Thoughtful, kind, and incredibly supportive. I’m really enjoying my time here so far. I stay busy, but I’ve been able to make a meaningful impact, and that’s been incredibly rewarding. The benefits are really strong and thoughtfully designed. A truly comprehensive Total Rewards package. The culture here is really unique and something I really appreciate! Very much looking forward to growing my career with this company.

Cons

We are growing quickly, which can sometimes mean shifting priorities and evolving processes. If you prefer highly structured environments with everything fully built out, this may feel fast paced at times. We are remote - so you have to make a conscious effort to connect, but PMPC also gives us real opportunities to connect in person (Annual All-Company Summit!)

Pros

I had recently retired from a large software company after 30+ years of service. I wasn't sure if I was done working but I knew that chapter in my life was done. The things that I had loved about my previous company were long gone. Customer obsession, showing empathy (especially to employees), and humility, to name a few core values, were no longer part of the company culture. Work was no longer fun. It had become just a job. I can honestly say that this was the only scenario and company for which I considered coming out of retirement and pursuing. The leadership team models & lives our core values day-to-day. This has created a culture where employees are empowered to do their best work. I definitely have a passion for the solutions that we build and the lives that we are able to change but how we do it has been the most refreshing to me. Work is fun again.

Cons

I'm not sure I have run across any to date. We're fully remote and flexibility is valued. Maybe a con is not joining PMPC sooner?

Thank you for taking the time to write this. Coming out of retirement after 30 plus years to join Patch My PC is a huge compliment, and I do not take that lightly. I really appreciate how you described what changed at your previous company. It is a good reminder of what can get lost when companies scale, and it is exactly what we are trying to avoid. Customer obsession, empathy, humility, and staying grounded are not posters on a wall for us. They have to show up in how we lead and how we work together every day. I’m also glad work feels fun again. That might sound small, but it is not. Life is too short for a place that drains you. Thank you for being here and for helping us keep our culture strong as we grow. Also, the “not joining sooner” line made me laugh. Justin Chalfant
