Pros

As pawnbroker it's a great pay at $14 an hour. It's nice that you get paid time off. Nice to have vacation after a year. And they do offer benefits such as your health life dental and eye insurance.

Cons

Be prepared to work 50+ hours clean up after other employees messes. Turnover is horrible. I've seen the management become nonexistent over and over again as they fire her and hire new ones from outside the company. I never listen to their employees and they treat them like crap. They tell you that they're gonna listen to you they act like they're gonna listen to you but they really don't. They send you for training constantly out of town. The bonus structure they have is nearly impossible to receive any threatened that if you don't get it within four months they can fire you. You'll never have time for a family life if you have a family. And if you don't smoke expect to do a lot of extra work when your other coworkers to go outside they don't punch out and they still get paid for them and I have multiple cigarette breaks.

Pros

Work is easygoing at my location. Few customers who cause a commotion. Supervisors are supportive, but not always there for you as it seems like there is a lot on their plates. Opportunity for commission and bonuses.

Cons

I was scammed when I applied. They did not offer me an additional $2 for being bilingual. I applied for the jewelry sales position but that role basically doesn't exist. You are just a regular sales associate. The way the store is ran is disorganized and communication is not consistent. You will be standing all day. Commissions schedule is not clear. Barely any training while on the floor. You are thrown into the deep end immediately. Also the hours are really weird: You do 6, 7, 9, or 12 hour shifts - doesn't make sense. there is No break room. when i need a manager, i cant even leave the sales floor because there always has to be one sales associate on the floor
