Pros

No education requirements. Medical, Dental and Eye Insurance available although it is poor.

Cons

Corporate attitude is, "Everyone is terrible at their jobs and an idiot but me". Backstabbing and lack of trust is unbelievable. Extreme micro-management by corporate office. Procedures that alienate customers and disenfranchise employees. Refuse to even hear feedback. Opinions are considered "insubordinate" and you will be threatened with termination which will eventually happen. HIGH MANAGEMENT TURNOVER due to disrespectful treatment and frustration over unrealistic operations expectations. Lack of customer service sense. Everything is a transaction pretending to be an interaction. No concern for overworking employees, 10 - 12 hour days, 60 hour weeks as management are typical due to unrealistic production demands. Absolute lack of business know-how. This company has only succeeded due to the fact that it fills a need, not because they know or are any good at what they are doing. Redundancy and waste at corporate level. Company acts like a giant corporation and treats its store employees like a chain gang. Everything this company does is for the sole purpose of feeling like big shots. Management RARELY gets to use the vacation days they are given. Extremely intentionally misleading advertisements.

Pros

Work is easygoing at my location. Few customers who cause a commotion. Supervisors are supportive, but not always there for you as it seems like there is a lot on their plates. Opportunity for commission and bonuses.

Cons

I was scammed when I applied. They did not offer me an additional $2 for being bilingual. I applied for the jewelry sales position but that role basically doesn't exist. You are just a regular sales associate. The way the store is ran is disorganized and communication is not consistent. You will be standing all day. Commissions schedule is not clear. Barely any training while on the floor. You are thrown into the deep end immediately. Also the hours are really weird: You do 6, 7, 9, or 12 hour shifts - doesn't make sense. there is No break room. when i need a manager, i cant even leave the sales floor because there always has to be one sales associate on the floor
