Pros

Paycom is a company experiencing a large amount of growth. Paycom's growth is visible within news articles, financial reports and by anyone driving down the Kilpatrick Turnpike. A "side effect" of Paycom's growth is a driven, motivated workforce. The driving factor for employees is the daily impact (internally and externally) and opportunity. Each and every day employees have the opportunity to impact hundreds of employees and thousands of employees of those customers. Impact is not limited to external clients. The employee voice is extremely impactful internally. The executive team is committed to creating a feedback-filled environment where the employee voice directs the future of the company. Concerns, big and small, are heard through various feedback avenues and consistently reviewed and responded to. The second piece of the drive comes from opportunity. This "work hard, play hard" atmosphere means regardless of tenure your hard work is noticed and always pays off. Those who take ownership of their future and commit to daily improvement are seen rising quickly within the company. Someone is always available to mentor, guide and help you along the way. The company invests in its people at a level unheard of today. This investment is found within the leadership trainings, committed executive mentors and educational programs brought in from a local university. For those who are willing to work hard, excited to grow professionally and passionate about impacting at a large scale Paycom is hiring and you will do well. The best part about Paycom, aside from a contagious company culture, is its "write your own story" environment that promotes feedback and celebrates drive, passion and impact regardless of position. Obtainable opportunity and employee-driven executives make Paycom the best place to work in the OKC metro.

Cons

As stated above, feedback drives change at Paycom. Those who are resistant to change or fail to see big picture will not find long-term success. When changes arise, they are strategic and the end vision is included. Understanding the "why" is crucial to success across the board. Those who are looking for a job where they can "skate by" should not apply as hard work is expected, rewarded and celebrated. With the best HR team in the state employees enjoy rewards at least monthly and are spotlighted by leadership.

Pros

- Base salary - PTO - Awesome colleagues - $1 Medical PPO offering

Cons

- Upper leadership seem to not value the operations department as much as they do with sales. They are not consistent as well, which causes them to change the entire department's job description, expectations, & commission structure every few months. Change is good but huge change every 3-4 months is so exhausting. - They overload you with too many clients to handle while increasing the number of internal calls. When asking for support from sales or middle management, its typically a hard negotiation or non-existent. Expect to work way over 40 hours/week and juggle 10-20+ clients at a time. - Sales will oversell on product & implementation expectation which makes the job 1000% harder. Turnover with sales is extremely high so don't expect for even the best reps stay as they either leave, get fired because quota was not met, or the new manager will cut them if they're "not the vibe". You get left with the newbies who does not know how to sell or support you when you need them. - Every role in this company has high turnover in general. Making it very hard to cross collaborate with other departments as everyone is either extremely swamped or new to the role and cannot support as well, - Being forced to go to Oklahoma for training every year, sometimes twice a year.
