Pros

Before the cons stated below, this company truly WAS a top company to work for. The work life balance was and still is great in most departments. Culture was very friendly and all the people I worked with all were happy.

Cons

Yesterday, we had a town hall announcing that everyone besides dev must return to the office 5 days a week next month. For dev it's going to alternate between 3 days a week and 2 days a week. This is apparently to increase productivity and push out critical projects. This is unacceptable. Many of us accepted a job here under the impression that we had a permanent hybrid schedule. Now we are being forced to change our entire life due to a completely irrational decision from the very top. All of our leadership below C-level was completely blindsided by this. Good luck with pushing out those critical projects when most of your company leaves and the ones that choose to stay behind are demoralized. I'll be putting in my 2 week's notice and find a fully remote job with someone I can trust. Paycom cannot gain back their employees trust.

Paycom knows our strongest assets are our team members who have built this company into the industry leader it is today. With so many innovative, new projects on the horizon, we're looking forward to bringing our last group back to campus. This unites our teams by providing an environment that ensures you and other employees are best equipped to succeed. Our team members' well-being is a top priority, and we want to make sure you have the opportunity to ask questions and talk through concerns. Reach out to us through our internal channels like Ask Here or hrmgmt@paycomonline.com, and one of your HR professionals will be in touch.

Pros

Paycom offers very competitive starting pay for the Oklahoma City area. The medical benefit is only $1 for employee only coverage. They also offer something called the Zero Card for medical coverage as well for no cost. Highly recommend using the Zero Card if able to be used. The card can save a significant amount of money. Many of the immediate supervisors and peers you work with are professional. Overall the people are a pleasure to work with.

Cons

There are a lot of changes going on currently. As someone who prefers stability the last two years have been extremely challenging. The workload seems quite excessive as multiple departments have been consolidated. In the last two years I had leaders change about every three months for various reasons. Automation within the company has eliminated many positions this past year. Changes have been made to the medical plans so that several medications are no longer covered. This is extremely unfortunate especially because no one was notified until after open enrollment was completed. One medication for diabetes treatment and weight loss was cut, the company response essentially was "we have a gym, please use it. "
