I wanted to share my experience with this company. I have a background in customer service for a few different companies (have worked in 3 roles over the last 15 years I came to Paycom looking for growth opportunity and having heard great things about it.
I started last February and spent my first several months in a training program I felt was great. The system is a lot but I felt like I was learning each day and generally felt more confident than my friends seemed to. I was excited to get my first clients and start getting to know them. The pace of the role picked up quicklh when I got out of training, and very quickly I was managing over 80 client accounts and struggling to keep up. From December to march, I was working 55-60 hours each week to keep up with the volume. I just kept grinding to take care of my clients. However, in march I was told that I didn’t respond to a client email within 2 hours and they complained so I’m being put on a performance improvement plan. That “plan” said to manage my time better and respond quicker, but offered no real guidance to be successful. Two months later, another client complained that I didn’t have availability for a call requested same day and I was terminated.
I feel like I wasted a year of my life, blood, sweat, tears, and lots of late nights away from my family for this company with absolutely zero respect or understanding back. I can without a doubt say I did everything within my power to be successful here and feel like I wasn’t ever given a chance which is so sad.
