Pros

Benefits, but there has been a recent change that is worse for their employees.

Cons

In September I was let go from the company and I was tempted to leave a scathing review but did not want to act in my own anger but I need to tell all now so that those who read may know the truth of what Paycom is. HR you can comment that you want me to contact you to talk more about this but we all know that it means you want to either sue or hush us. You maybe a friend of Paycoms but we know you will choose the downfall of an employee for a grilled cheese. Before COVID, Paycom was a great company, it was a beacon of light to other companies that they can be progressive and employee focused, however after COVID, Paycom was not employee focused but client focused and would choose to burn the employees on the altar so they could make a dollar. They are constantly saying to take care of the client but will not take care of the employee, but will choose to gaslight, belittle, and shove the employee to be each clients slave, no matter what it may do to the employees mental health. Just so you know, there is a mental health week and place for Paycom employees but that is due to the decline in mental health of the employees. Paycom chooses to write up employees that calls their managers and TL’s out. There is an employee that worked there that when telling their team lead about how he would choose to listen to the male voice over the females, he would write that employee up. Then when talking to his manager about how he belittles and talks to his employee, he hears about it and finds a way to write them up again. Even though that team lead may have a new complete team every two years due to how he would treat them, they will keep him. Paycom will not reward your hard work but how far you can bend over for them and not ask any questions. To those that are international, Paycom will choose to threaten to pull your sponsorship if you do not do what they say. There are many people that overwork themselves so they would not have their sponsorship pulled. Paycom doesn’t see as a person, they just see you as something that they can use and will choose to throw you away at a moments notice. Paycom has also been having a record of firing people that just came back from FMLA or a OU to go on FMLA. Paycom will do everything they can for you not to grow your family or let you have a family while you are at Paycom. Paycom sees your family as a threat to them. If you are pregnant, they will find ways to fire you so they don’t have to pay your time off. Finally, they will fire amazing talent just to save a dollar. There were people that stayed there for two weeks and then were laid off with a big group due to a bigger business goal. However, the people that they kept are ones that are on the lower side of the salary scale and are low performers.

At Paycom, we believe that our business goals and our commitment to our team members are not mutually exclusive. In fact, we recognize that investing in our employees is essential to delivering exceptional service to our clients - one of the reasons we continue to offer unique benefits and numerous development resources to support the growth and well-being of our team members. Your review contains several false claims. Paycom has not experienced layoffs, and we’re still hiring across many of our departments. We value and support our team members both in and out of the office, offering a range of benefits including those specifically designed to support families. Pros

- Base salary - PTO - Awesome colleagues - $1 Medical PPO offering

Cons

- Upper leadership seem to not value the operations department as much as they do with sales. They are not consistent as well, which causes them to change the entire department's job description, expectations, & commission structure every few months. Change is good but huge change every 3-4 months is so exhausting. - They overload you with too many clients to handle while increasing the number of internal calls. When asking for support from sales or middle management, its typically a hard negotiation or non-existent. Expect to work way over 40 hours/week and juggle 10-20+ clients at a time. - Sales will oversell on product & implementation expectation which makes the job 1000% harder. Turnover with sales is extremely high so don't expect for even the best reps stay as they either leave, get fired because quota was not met, or the new manager will cut them if they're "not the vibe". You get left with the newbies who does not know how to sell or support you when you need them. - Every role in this company has high turnover in general. Making it very hard to cross collaborate with other departments as everyone is either extremely swamped or new to the role and cannot support as well, - Being forced to go to Oklahoma for training every year, sometimes twice a year.
