Pros
I came to Paycom after many years with my previous employer. I was ready for a new challenge that offered a high level of professional growth and I knew exactly what organization I wanted to be a part of: Paycom. After starting at Paycom, it was very apparent that management truly cared about me and my professional development. To start off, the organization ensured that I would be ready to take on my every day tasks through a rigorous training program. Throughout the whole training and beyond, my managers and peers always had my back and ensured that I was on track for success. As cliche as it may be, my management and peers treated me as family and showed that they cared. Now that I am a supervisor, I strive to be like those that coached me and ensured that I felt I had a sense of belonging in such a large organization. This job has challenged my critical thinking and problem solving skills and I hope to help others develop these skills as well. Aside from just the genuine care that I have received from my team, the company has offered many great benefits and perks. The catered meals ensure that I always have enough fuel to get me through the day, not to mention that they only cost $4 per meal. No matter what I am in the mood for, there is always an option for me to eat since we have three cafes and multiple food options in each. Don't even get me started on the smoothie machines that we have on sight which is always a nice treat on the days you just want something a little extra. We also have a gym that has extended hours and different sports leagues that are hosted by the fitness staff. Whether I want to get a quick workout before or after work, or play some basketball (which is not the only sport offered), I always have the opportunity to be active and stay healthy. Speaking about health, our health insurance is amazing and very cost friendly. If you purchase health insurance solely for yourself, it only cost you $1 per paycheck AND has covered everything that I needed with an extremely low out of pocket cost for both doctor visits and medications. Personally, I do have the family insurance plan, which still is a very low cost compared to the plans I have had elsewhere. Should you ever get sick or need time off, we are given a very generous amount of vacation and sick time. The company has shown that they truly care through this because they have ensured that not only do I have a great amount of hours to take off, but also they have encouraged me to take them time off. I have never once been met with any resistance or animosity by leadership or peers when needing or wanting to take off. Everyone is always encouraging me to use the time that is available for me and ensures that I am covered when I am gone. With all the perks out of the way, what about pay, right? It's great. It's competitive. The company has ensured we are taken care of. Come find out for yourself. Another important point for me as a working parent is work/life balance. Paycom has always allowed me to be the father that my child deserves through the generous accruals and the workload given. I have been able to make every sports event which I know means the world to my child. Honestly, I constantly tell my friends and family to apply to Paycom. I have never been a part of an organization that always goes to extra mile for employees in the same way that they expect from us. I cannot imagine myself leaving to go anywhere else.
Cons
Change is fast. Because we constantly innovating and pulling further ahead from our competition, you have to be comfortable with change and willing to adapt. While I have this listed under cons, it is still a great thing and I have always had support through every change I have experienced.
