We are sorry to hear that you felt this way about not being selected to move forward in our hiring process. Our hiring process is designed to be accessible and inclusive, as well as to make every individual feel heard, acknowledged, and valued. However, representing yourself as a former employee when you have never worked for us is not accurate. Nor are these allegations, which are unfounded and false. Peak Performers exists for the sole purpose of fostering inclusive workplaces. We work every day to connect individuals with career-building opportunities where they are valued for who they are—regardless of their disability as well as race, gender, age, sexual orientation, gender identity, family status, veteran status, or national origin. This is reflected in the demographics of our staff as well as our workforce as a whole. If you have met prejudice in your career prior to applying for a role with us, we sympathize with you and regard this as further proof that organizations like Peak Performers need to exist. However, we are not the enemy. We remain available to speak with you directly regarding your application for employment. You are welcome to return our call when you are ready.

Pros

Peak Performers is the kind of place you can truly feel proud to work. The mission, connecting people with disabilities to meaningful employment, is the heartbeat of the office, and we leverage each other’s unique talents to make it happen. Since joining, I’ve grown tremendously both professionally and personally because I’m consistently encouraged to learn, teach, and explore. Transparency is huge here. Leadership doesn't shy away from difficult conversations or tough decisions. Because they hold themselves to a high standard of accountability, they expect the same from you. You should be prepared to "defend" your decisions and actions, not in a way that makes you feel defensive, but because we are a fast-moving nonprofit with a limited budget. My research has real, immediate consequences, so being able to back-up my work is essential to our success.

Cons

As with many mission-driven nonprofits, budget constraints can impact annual raises. It would be helpful to have more transparency during the onboarding process regarding the timeline for performance evaluations and salary growth, as I didn't get a clear picture of this until I was already in the role (I also didn't ask). Pay is at a fair market value for myself and from what I can gather of others too.

Pros

Every Peak Performer employee has been amazing to work with, special mention is for Kevin Neal who is the account manager for my current contract. The best thing about Kevin is that he just doesnt communicate over emails, but picks up the phone to update on the status and also keeps checking in with me on how I am doing with my current assignment. I really appreciate that human touch.

Cons

None I can think of.
