Pros
Working with kids and learning from providers
Cons
As a former employee, I want to share my experience for those considering working here. Unfortunately, this office fosters a toxic work environment where bullying and favoritism are tolerated. • The lab tech was not only disrespectful but also aggressive, frequently making inappropriate comments and treating others poorly. • The lead MA was passive-aggressive, dismissive, and contributed to a culture of workplace bullying. • Complaints about both individuals were ignored because they were close friends with the previous manager (now at the Riverview location). Despite these challenges, I remained professional and dedicated. I was cross-trained in lab and medical assisting, knew front desk responsibilities, and was the only MA who spoke Spanish well enough to assist patients. I kept a positive attitude no matter what I was going through. However, the office failed to provide a safe work environment. My child’s father repeatedly showed up at my workplace, creating distress, yet my concerns were dismissed. Instead of receiving support, I became a topic of gossip among staff at both locations. After my pregnancy, I requested a schedule adjustment to better support my life as a single mother. My request was denied three times without clear justification. I was always transparent and respectful, yet my needs were ignored. Ultimately, being fired before the shift change was a relief. If you are considering working here, be prepared for an unprofessional environment where bullying is tolerated, and employee well-being is disregarded. Thank you for removing this unnecessary stress from my life.
