Pros
The opportunities to learn new things was abundant but moving up for promotion is easier when you have the right connections. As far as pay, I was very unhappy to learn someone with my same background was offered 6K more annually the year after I started and they do not give raises. Overall the the hours are flexible and family friendly. I also really appreciate that we had a separate sick leave bank on top of our PTO and I was always allowed to take off however long I needed for holidays.
Cons
No raises, only market adjustments that rarely happen and I don’t like the pay disparity.
