Pros

You will be well trained by a company that has 37 years of experience. You will gain a comprehensive understanding of the services they offer and how to sell them.

Cons

The services they offer are tied directly to the weather. When the weather is dry, so is your bank account. They also espouse their core values, which are great values. The problem is they don't live them. They are just another marketing tool. Their vision is "To make the world a better place". You will hear this in their commercials. It is, however, an incomplete statement. It should read " To make the world a better place for the owners of this company".

Thank you for your positive comment on the quality of our training. We continue to work hard at being Chicagoland and Northwest Indiana’s preferred solution for dry basements and crawl spaces, stable foundations and healthy homes. We have learned that materials, systems and processes can be copied, but what makes our company successful is our people, and the weekly training that we provide. While we do offer an array of “non-weather” related services, we are still a seasonal business and quite proud of the fact that since Roy Spencer started the company in 1979 we have never laid off a single person. During our busy season – spring, summer and fall – homeowners contact us for help with their leaky basements, musty crawlspaces and foundation repair issues. Our sales consultants do not “cold call”! We have plenty of opportunities for everyone and in fact, are seeking qualified sales consultants that are a fit with our core values. During the winter months we invest heavily in our training efforts, personal and professional development, and provide opportunities for sales consultants to follow-up with clients that have previously received a quote from us but have yet to make a decision. Many of our savvy sales consultants even develop their own network of realtors, architects, home builders, and referrals from friends and family members, all of which keep them plenty busy during the winter. Yes indeed our vision is to make the world a better place for our tribal members, their families and our clients. We are truly sorry that for more than five years you were unhappy in our Tribe but we do encourage our Tribal Members to help us help make Perma-Seal a fulfilling and engaging workplace. We only wish we could have done so with you!
