Pros

Family oriented High salaries compared to other local employers Great insurance at really low rates Great bonuses based off of set standards of progress Great 401K package with profit sharing and company stock available Availability of 24/7 gym for all employees located in Allegan Free Perrigo pharmaceuticals from the company store Long list of extra perks available (holiday dinners, choice of holiday gift around Thanksgiving, etc.) Ability to climb the corporate ladder is available for those determined enough to make it happen (many start on the lines and move up from there) Always looking to further embrace the work-life balance (though it can be a slow process of adaption in some areas)

Cons

The rapid rate of expansion that Perrigo has experienced in the last decade has been rather painful for some areas of the company as demands and headcount do not increase at the same rate As stated, the work-life balance is adapting inconsistently among departments and seems to be moving slowly through the company (I would have given Perrigo 5 stars if it wasn't for the reality that the work-life balance has a ways to go before being ideal)

Pros

Diverse work environment Lots of variety in job requirements Decent wages Great company if you know someone. Nepotism here.

Cons

There is a formal training guideline that was never completed. We didn't even finish signing off after 6 months. This is for a basic entry level type position. It's not even a higher level position. The technical requirements for pharma are pretty complex. I finished my part but the follow through fell short for hands on experience. It wasn't important to train me so I felt like it wasn't important for me to be there. It was frustrating receiving directions from people who started on the same day as me. I feel like it was because of nepotism. Nepotism exists at this company. They weren't meeting their training on time and were giving me direction and providing me with training. Overall, the rewards couldn't justify the physical demands on my body. I felt frustrated and left incomplete as the only team member without family/friends connection in my anywhere. How did i get this job? I'm clueless about that. Didn't take criticism very well. Felt attacked by calls for action. Higher stress manufacturing environment.
