Pros

Petsmart is truly a great company work for. Here are some of the pros first off, they have a great training program to get you ready to take calls for. (Plus great coaching when needed from QA) I was in the call center department doing remote that is. They use to do metric system but they did away with it, now it's behavior based. They are so willing to work with you on schedules and really anything that comes up that you might need assistance, very hands-on. And you talk about teamwork I mean the supervisors, team leads are wonderful. Definitely they do assist you and help you out when you have a difficult call as well. They also have great incentives when you do a great job. I did win a couple of contests, second and third place. They really do show their appreciation to their employees in fact they sent me a nice shoulder bag and 1 year anniversary pin even though my anniversary isn't till January 9th of next year 2024, ( what company does that!!? None that I know of) Even though I had to given notice and quit due to health issues that are being taken care of and now pretty much control. Plus scheduling conflict with my grandson's school but they did take care of that but still issues with problems with health I didn't want to be unfair to the company and continue on and possibly miss more days. This is such a great company to work for! the people make it so awesome and you get paid weekly which is nice 👌. You also get 15% discount which is nice as well. I also heard they have pretty good benefits from what I've seen, I was on my husband's benefits so I didn't need them but I heard they were great from other associates. They really did work with me, went above and beyond for me and I can honestly say this, From schedules to changing it to accommodate to get my grandson from school and when I miss days because again the health issues they weren't hard nose to work with but instead they were compassionate, understanding and work with me. I really am hoping that maybe I can go back maybe once things are a little more settled. I really liked working for them and I miss all of them! Oh you also can advance in position/departments in this company pretty fast if you want to or stay were you are at, with no pressuring you about it.

Cons

Not much on cons but a slight few. First one probably would be the part-time schedule not really part-time it's like 6.5 per day and to have to take a lunch. Instead of doing like 4 hrs and no lunch. Second if anything would be probably would be having a weekly team lead meet goals and such progress, which I thought was unnecessary cause not much happens in 1 week maybe only do it monthly or if something comes up then go ahead do a weekly. And I do agree with some people saying their pay rates not the greatest (for call center work that is) but for me it wasn't a important factor, It was decent pay rate for me, definitely more than minimum wage. So you see there was not much on the cons side of things.

Pros

The staff care a lot and try their hardest but it leads to burn out and being taken advantage of by a company the does not care about YOU.

Cons

Poor management. No work life balance. Bad scheduling. Bad pay. No communication. Leads expected to work more than 10 hours a day during high volume periods, Be responsible for too many things. You run around like a chicken with it's head chopped off the whole time you're at work. Staff are snippy, and rude. A few are okay. Company has you working bare bones, and does not care. Pet parent's are weird, and I don't think have realistic expectations that the boarding facility is more like dropping your dog off at a dog shelter for a week while you go on vacation than a "fun time" for your dog. Dogs get fed, watered, pottied. If that is all you care about, then use the PetHotel. If you want your dog to have fun, and be out of a stressful environment (few dogs do well with constant barking and noise all day, plus being stuck in a cement run, thrown in with a bunch of other dogs who have never been properly socialized) just do in home boarding. I would never board my dog at a place like this.
