The best people, let down daily by unfocused management. - Technician Philips Employee Review

Pros

The company mission is taken very seriously, I've never seen a corporation staffed by people so dedicated to improving the lives of their customers. My colleagues are the smartest, most committed, intelligent group I've ever worked with. Benefits are actually very generous, flexibility of time to get non-work things done is accommodated as far as is possible by colleagues and supervisors. You'll find yourself suddenly knowing more than you'd think about production and business.

Cons

In certain sectors there is almost no chance of actual advancement upwards. Salaries are below the average considering the experience and years put in by many below management level. The business is addicted to change, so expect many cancelled and diverted projects on a monthly basis. You will be busy all of the time. Resourcing is not mentioned as it's just not there, every year brings further staffing cuts and organizational changes (you will be expected to be three people).

Pros

Culture is great! Very fair with time given for onboarding and training. Everyone is helpful from People Services to the employees who are in a different divisions.

Cons

The company is massive! Not really a con though.

Pros

The people in non- upper management roles that work there are fantastic. Great sense of community onsite and the culture champions are consistently looking for ways to make work life better.

Cons

Very poor communication on the strategy for the business unit. Leadership publicly promotes innovation and new ideas to be presented but then those ideas are shot down or penalized in private by current upper management. The business unit leadership says that don't want excuses for project delays but will then decide to do 3 major layoffs in the first two quarters with no transition plan, no support for gap in resources and no expectations to delayed progress.
