Pros

Philips is not afraid to invest in their employees with training and tools. There are a lot of opportunities if you're willing to relocate. Philips has a solid infrastructure at the macro level with a very diverse ecosystem of jobs.

Cons

Company is too big which makes it too easy for bad employees to fly under the radar. Management is incredibly lax and does not hold people accountable which creates a toxic work environment. Needs proactive management to keep people in line and keep the good employees happy. Contracts come and go depending on the account. If you lose your account and there's no available jobs nearby your employment will be short lived, which leads to a uncertain future, unless you're willing to relocate.

Culture is great! Very fair with time given for onboarding and training. Everyone is helpful from People Services to the employees who are in a different divisions.

Cons

The company is massive! Not really a con though.

Pros

The people in non- upper management roles that work there are fantastic. Great sense of community onsite and the culture champions are consistently looking for ways to make work life better.

Cons

Very poor communication on the strategy for the business unit. Leadership publicly promotes innovation and new ideas to be presented but then those ideas are shot down or penalized in private by current upper management. The business unit leadership says that don't want excuses for project delays but will then decide to do 3 major layoffs in the first two quarters with no transition plan, no support for gap in resources and no expectations to delayed progress.
