Pick N Save

Part of Kroger

Is this your company?

Management? Lmao. Also, store is too small and falling apart. - Anonymous employee Pick N Save Employee Review

Pros

Good to receive weekly paycheck

Cons

Everyone is quitting at this location. Various reasons, but mostly seems to be poor management and extremely high expectations of continuous growth from a tiny store that can barely function. Stuff is constantly broken/unusable and getting half-assed "fixed" or not getting fixed at all (dishwashing sinks, dock door, automatic front doors, produce refrigeration case valve screaming sound, deli refrigeration case freezing, etc). All of the coolers and cases are FULL OF MOLD. There is barely enough room to operate in the back and on the sales floor. Back room has no air conditioning and the ceiling fan is broken. In the summer, the coolers, freezers, and refrigeration cases are constantly too warm. The back room is a cramped disaster. The sales floor is too. Corporate is constantly saying to add more stuff on the sales floor (refrigeration case, tables, etc) and it's making it difficult to navigate aisles and departments. Trying to unload a truck is like playing tetris.

Pros

95% of my coworkers are awesome. We are busy but we make sure everyone gets their aisles done. Great team work. I truly love all my bosses. They even stock and clean on top of their own duties. Great communication and are great at problem solving/motivating the team. They never talk down to you and truly embrace the team spirit.

Cons

Non load nIghts can certainly drag. Facing and backstock bores me. Could use more things to do. Insurance isn't the best.
